The United Wellness Pilates & Yoga programs are grounded on age-old principles of balance, poise, flexibility and tranquillity. Yoga classes focus on a combination of physical and mental alignment that will increase strength, stability and range of motion. Pilates is based on the principle that a strong core should be the cornerstone of physical development, along with control, concentration, flow, breath and precision. With these principles in mind, Pilates focuses primarily on the “Powerhouse,” or deepest abdominal/back muscles, and works the rest of the body from this core connection.

Pilates Studio

Through regular sessions of either or both, clients will improve strength, stretch, stamina and stability. Over time, this approach creates a strong foundation from which one can achieve new heights of physical fitness and control, as well as emotional well-being and balance.

Our ultimate goal is to develop both your competence and confidence so you are able to participate in semi-private sessions. With three or four clients and one instructor, a semi-private will challenge you with more advanced vocabulary and efficient transitions, and provide you greater autonomy and ownership of your work.
