It wasn’t until she experienced acupuncture that she found a form of medicine that fit her gifts and personality. “The breadth and elegance of acupuncture, its ability to address such a wide range of conditions simultaneously and its emphasis on treating the individual really drew me in. Even now, after providing acupuncture for over 16 years I marvel at what can be done!”

Virginia is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holds the third license granted by the state of Virginia to practice acupuncture. Complementing her body-mind studies, Virginia completed a two-year program in spiritual direction through the Shalem Institute in Washington, DC, in 1989.
Virginia has extended her education by specializing in the treatment of chronic pain conditions, stress relief and detoxification support. This includes but is not limited to people with migraines, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders, before/ after treatment for those facing hip or knee replacement and those wanting to stop smoking or lose weight. Training in Battlefield Acupuncture has helped her reduce pain for clients where nothing else has worked. By breaking the pain cycle the client’s own body is able to marshal its resources for healing.
