Our History

1998

Doctor H opens his practice in Herndon, Virginia at the beginning of the year. Eager to deliver innovative, personalized chiropractic care to the community. He hires a receptionist and starts booking appointments.

1999

A trainer for pro soccer team DC United meets Doctor H at a sports healthcare event, and mentions that a key player’s back is giving him trouble. Doc H offers his services, and then visits the team’s training facility to work on the player. The effect of his treatment is immediate, and the player is able to take the field. Other players quickly request Doc H’s services. The club quickly dubs Doc H the team’s official chiropractor.
The practice grows, adding a massage therapist. The Women’s World Cup takes place in DC the same year; Doc H helps several international players and becomes go-to chiropractor for the US Women’s National Soccer Team.

2001

An acupuncturist joins Doc H’s team. The core therapeutic services of United Wellness are in place, offering traditional and alternative treatments for sports injury, back injury, disc injury, and physical rehabilitation throughout Northern Virginia and Washington DC.

2002

Doctor H’s recognized as a member of the All-Star Medical Team for Major League Soccer, a distinction earned by only 15 health and wellness pros nationwide out of hundreds of providers.

2003-2005

The practice continues to grow, serving professional athletes, professional musicians, and renowned ballet dancers while continuing to provide exceptional care and treatment to NOVA residents. Doc H becomes the official chiropractor for the 9:30 Club, one of DC’s favorite music venues. He helps performers from Cypress Hill to Shania Twain be at their physical best for their live performances.

In the midst of this success, Doctor H considers expanding the focus of his practice beyond physical therapies and rehabilitation to include more comprehensive personal care. His commitment evolves to encompass overall health, vitality and well-being.

2007

In November, the vision Doctor H had of creating a complete health and wellness facility becomes a reality. United Wellness Center opens, still preserving the sports focus of the original practice, but adding myriad therapies designed to help the body heal and improve. He opens an advanced, spacious facility in Herdon, VA that offers a beauty, massage and relaxation therapies in an environment designed to be immediately restorative and calming.

Doctor H and his team continue to treat professional athletes of every type: football, baseball, hockey, soccer, etc. as well as the dedicated recreational enthusiasts and weekend warriors who count on him to keep them in the game.

2010

Doctor H is approached by the Washington Redskins to provide truly comprehensive, sports-specific chiropractic services for the team’s players. Doctor H quickly gets on board as the Team Chiropractor for the Washington Redskins.

2011

It has been a very exciting year! Dr. Hirad N. Bagy has also accepted the position as the  Team Chiropractor for the Washington Nationals.
